How to set up your Bamboo tablet
Your tablet and printer ship separately — don't worry if one arrives before the other. Everything has been set up before shipping - the Bamboo app is already installed and waiting on the home screen. There is nothing to configure, no apps to download, and no QR codes to scan. All you need to do is power on the tablet, log in, and connect your printer.
What's on your Bamboo tablet
When you turn on your tablet for the first time, you will see the Bamboo app on the home screen. This is your order management app — all orders from DoorDash, Uber Eats, and Grubhub come through here. You accept orders, manage your menu, connect your printer, and adjust your hours from within this app.
Keeping your tablet running smoothly during service
Keep the tablet plugged in or charged - the tablet needs to be on and awake to receive orders.
Do not turn off the tablet during service hours - orders arrive in real time and the tablet needs to be active to receive them.
Keep the volume turned up - the app plays a sound notification when a new order arrives.
There's nothing to install or maintain - your tablet's apps are managed remotely by our team. If anything looks wrong with the apps, contact support rather than trying to fix it yourself.
If your tablet arrives before you are live
In some cases your tablet may arrive before your location is fully activated on the delivery platforms. That is fine - you can still log in and explore the app. You just will not see active orders coming through until your location goes live. You will receive a notification from our team when your location is activated.
